The view from my patio
Tonight there was a spectacular sunset over the Las Vegas valley and the mountains surrounding it. Sometimes I really appreciate the view from my patio. Although it is always pretty awesome, tonight it was just one of those rare nights that make you go “wow”.

I am looking forward to the 4th of July, there are little fireworks stands all over the place, it should be a pretty fun night to take some videos!

There are some nice colors at sunset when there are a few clouds. Wait until you see a contrail from a rocket launch from CA.
The strip is not into fireworks on the Fourth as much as they are New Years. The cowboys in the ranches on the NW part of town shoot off rockets that rival any display I have seen anywhere.
Play big, win big. I live here too.

Thanks! How do I know when there will be rocket launches? Headed over to check out your site, I need a new theme! I actually live in Henderson (shh, don’t tell!, lol).
I had a feeling the strip wouldn’t have as many fireworks, but hope to see a range of private displays from my patio.
